Inaugural Outstanding Teacher-Mentor awarded

Outstanding Teacher-Mentor Vicki Farina, Brooks High School, Killen, has been an active supporter of the Gorgas Competition for many years. She has had finalists in eight consecutive years. Thanks to all the teachers who sponsor these students.

Without the support of dedicated teachers, like Ms. Farina, the students would not have these opportunities.

Finalists in the 2007 Alabama Science Scholar Search and Gorgas Scholarship Program are listed below in alphabetical order. The final competition will be held during the annual meeting of the Alabama Academy of Science, March 1-2, at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Alabama.
